I'm able to charge my iPhone 12 with a USB C charger but when I try using USB A it doesn't work. I've tried multiple brand new USB A chargers, cleaned the charging port, and reset my phone. It's been very frustrating; does anyone have a solution to this?
Nope, my iPhone is up to date, I've cleaned the charging port, and I've restored the phone - no luck. I posted this in September but apple ignores it because they know it's a hardware/software bug on their end. Very frustrating.

Same. Just switched over one day and it now won’t respond to any USB-A cables. Super frustrating.
I've tried multiple USB-A cables both new and old, none of them work. I even tried using the USB-A cables on different phones and I had no issues charging, so I know it's not the cables. USB-A wasn't an issue on my iPhone 12 until this week.
Any solution found on this? My 12 pro max just started doing this a few days ago. My son’s 12 works fine with the USB-A but mine does nothing.
I also tried using the original wired headphones that come with the phone and those also don’t work.
USB-C is the only cable that my device recognizes and charges my phone.
Anyone figure out why this is happening cause my iPhone 12 is doing the same thing. So it’s got to be Apple that has a defect on the iPhone 12. They should have to cover it cause it won’t connect to my card or charge at all.
Perhaps the USB-A to Lightning cable is the culprit ???
Your “12” should charge with any Apple USB power adaptor ever produced.
Hello~ Have you tried a new block? My 12 mini charges fine on USB A. Just tried one out.
