Is there any way to get Spotlight to search in Ventura the way it used to in previous MacOS?

Is there any way to get Spotlight to search in Ventura the way it used to in previous MacOS?

Is there a way to get spotlight in Ventura to search the same way you used to be able to search in all the iso operating system? You used to be able to search a file by extension. I understand with all this ai crap spot light got a bit wonky. in the older versions of the operating systems I could just type . jpg . png . psd etc and it wouldn't give me all these Caterogies. Is there any way to get that back?

Photos now indexes objects in pictures, but other than that Spotlight works the same as it ever has.

searching by document kind has been supported since the dawn of Spotlight and still is in Ventura and beyond.

please describe the steps you use to search in the results you get, and maybe we can figure out what’s wrong with your Mac.

I also had another ? I used up all my cloud storage on my iPhone it says uploading to iCloud paused. If I add more storage to the phone will this go away?

I'm not sure what you think has changed. I have no problem searching by extension.

What happens when you do? What do you expect to see that you don't.

You have more options in ventura. The older version of spot light it didn't have photos from apps.
