Clicked the “ok” button on a pop up scam

While browsing a pop up appeared and said something along the line of “We detect that your Apple iPhone is 76% DAMAGED…” Knowing it was a scam I tried to close the tab, however the pop up seems to have taken up the entire screen and there were no way to close the tab without hitting the ok button. I clicked on the ok button and it took me to another page with a count down which I closed immediately. I don’t think anything has been downloaded onto my phone and I have not found anything suspicious in calendar. I was using the documents browser and a vpn, and my iPhone is installed with the newest update (16.6). Am I safe?
