iCloud photos failed to archive

iCloud photos failed to archive

Every time I start iCloud on my Windows PC I get the following error:

"iCoud Photos failed to archive existing fils in d:\Pictures\iCloud\Photos\Photos and cannot start. Please restart your computer."

This means iCloud is not synching any more. I have tried restarting my PC serveral times. I have also tried to sign out of my iCloud account as well as disabling Backup of iCloud Photos and re-enabling it. Nothing changed the error. Can somebody pleas help me fix this?Type a message

Hi Keisha_Keisha,

thanks for your reply. I just jchecked and install the latest updates to my PC. Unfortunately, that did not solve my problem. Furthermore I looked at the link you provided, but I could not find anything that seemed to be helpful to solve my problem. Could you be a bit more specific on what I could try to get iCloud working again?

thanks for the information. Yes, I am using Windows 10, I will try my luck with the Apple support. Hopefully they will be able to help me.
