How is family notified of sharing of an app
I added app for family sharing.
so now how does my family member access?

If you have purchase sharing turned on, eligible apps are automatically shared. Nothing you need to do, and no notifications are sent.
For other people yo access the shared App, they can look for them in the purchase history of the person that bought the app as explained in the following support document.
