Delete app from Child's iPad

If the delete option isn't available, there may be a restriction set on deleting apps. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps.

I have figured out that you can remove the app store access from their device. They won’t be able to access any apps but the good news is once the unwanted app is deleted from their device, if the app store isn’t available, they can’t reinstall it.

Settings> Screen Time (your child’s) > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Installing Apps > Don’t Allow. When I did that, the icon is still on her home screen, but it won’t open.

The problem is you can delete - but the child can still reinstall, so it seems once approved you can't take the approval back if you find the app is not what it should be content wise. I will keep trying to find ways

This is true, I have the same issue. For example Youtube, this app has been installed before on the iPad but now under content restrictions, I have disabled the feature to install apps. However when navigating to the app store on the same ipad, my child can still download this app

Yes, but it still requires you to set at least a 1 minute time limit to block it. My daughter watches for the minute and then clicks the option to watch for an additional 1 minute when that time is up. She can sometimes get up to 5 minutes and has managed to find the most horrible shows (like Bloo Cloo)

I have the same problem, I purchased an app not knowing there is a monthly subscription and I want to delete it but I can’t
