Hey there rymiller11,
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.
Just to confirm, is this issue occurring when using the Apple TV app on your Roku TV or device? If so, check out the steps in the following resource under the "If the video quality is bad or it stops playing" section that can help: If you can't watch or stream movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app - Apple Support
If the video quality is bad or it stops playing
1. If multiple people on your network are using the internet, your connection speed might slow down. Ask them to temporarily pause their internet activities.
2. If you're using a smart TV or streaming device, turn it off and back on again. If you're using an Apple device, restart it.
3. Tap or click the download button to try downloading the movie or TV show instead.*
It may also be helpful to try running Video Troubleshooting in your Apple TV app settings to check for any issues. More details can be found at this next link here: Troubleshoot your video connection in the Apple TV app - Apple Support
If you’re having problems playing video, you can try video troubleshooting to test your network connection and help you resolve any issues.
1. In the Apple TV app
, navigate to Settings.

Keep us updated on the results.
Have a great day!
