Setting reminders on Apple Watch via Siri: odd behavior

I have an iPhone 12 and watch series 6. Each is updated with latest OS. Several months ago setting reminders from the watch via Siri became odd. When I ask Siri to set a reminder for something I get the reply "Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again" or a variation on that. The odd thing is that in fact the reminder does show up in the reminder app on my phone and iMac and does alert me as requested. I have tried restarting the watch and phone but nothing changed. I then tried un-pairing and re-pairing the watch from my phone but that did not help either. Others dealing with this same issue? Thoughts on how to remedy it?

Hi levinehank,

When reviewing the relevant Apple resources on this How 'Hey Siri' works with multiple devices and Use Siri on all your Apple devices, it doesn't look like this is expected behavior. As you've already troubleshooted the Apple Watch on your end and everything is up to date, the next step will be to contact Apple Support for assistance here Get Support.

Take care.
