Why doesn’t my microphone work for voice recording messages?

The microphone on my iPhone (in the message field) doesn’t record messages. I can receive voice memo messages but I can’t record them to send. But the microphone for dictation works on the bottom right.

Voice text microphone not working in Message app Why is my microphone for sending voice/audio texts not working in my Messages app? I had no problem recording and sending voice texts in the past. Recently the microphone stopped working. I read solutions to past posts regarding this problem (i.e. restarting my phone several times) and the microphone still does not work. Does anyone have a solution?

Can’t record a voice message through the message app. I looked through this forum, where it says to tap the microphone in control center, or to tap the three lines, but I don’t see any microphone or three lines that indicate a microphone in control center. Can someone help, please?
