i bought a new iPhone mini 13 and transferred data from old to new. I have had nothing but problems and in particular the emails all load up incorrectly! So February then maybe march then maybe today - all out of order - Apple have no idea what has gone wrong - I spoke to them about 2-3 hrs yesterday -
I can delete may mailbox and sign back in and it looks ok and then after about 10 mins they emails go awol.

All of those settings change the order of your email messages. Organize by thread will put the most recent message in a thread at the top, then all others immediately below it, then the next thread will appear, so the individual messages will not be in chronological order, but the threads will be by most recent. If you want all messages in order turn off Organize by Thread and Complete Threads. The setting for Most Recent Message is your choice.

i think that helped however for some reason all the “remind me” emails have all appeared so how do I turn that function off please? If I can lose those then I will be able to check the date order for the emails.

each email gives you the option to reply forward flag and more recently there is now a “remind me” option - you can set a reminder to remind you to eg follow up an email. Since I’ve had the new iPhone all these remind me emails from the last year are now appearing!
Ah, well, you will have to delete them. If you have a Mac you can search for Remind Me, select them and delete them.
If you are running a beta (which I suspect from your description of the feature) you should send Feedback about it. We can’t discuss a beta in this forum, however.
Go to Settings/General/About and check the iOS version. It should be 16.6. You won’t have a beta unless you chose to install a beta version.
Go to Settings/Mail. What are the settings for Organize by Thread, Collapse Read Messages, Most Recent Message on Top, and Complete Threads.
I can see from the top are selected green as follows

What are “remind me” emails?
