New Magic Mouse doesn't pair with MacBook Air.

I recently bought a 2023 MacBook Air and a new Magic Mouse. Everything works like a dream, but the computer Bluetooth doesn't detect the mouse. It detects Air Pods and Watch.

Hi, I am having trouble getting my Magic Mouse to work through bluetooth to my MacBook Air I have done everything correctly. The computer says it's connected but the curser doesn't respond! I enabled Bluetooth in settings, Charged and turned on my Magic Mouse. In settings it searched and found my mouse. Connecting Logitech M240 mouse to M2 MacBook Air It used to work on my old Intel MacBook Pro with Monterey. On my new Air it won't appear as a device in Bluetooth settings. The "connection" led on the mouse is flashing. I've tried replacing the battery, turning the mouse and the computer on and off, and so on, to no avail.

Is the mouse fully charged and turned on?
