New AirPods Pro 2nd gen connects to iPod Nano 7th gen but plays no sound.

My new AirPods pro 2nd generation will connect to my iPod nano 7th generation, but there is no sound. My first generation AirPods pro work well enough (for some unknown reason, however, they won't play as loudly as when I connect to my MacBook Air, iPhone, or iPad). My new AirPods sound fine on my iPhone; however, I prefer the smaller nano while working out. Because my iPod nano is bluetooth, the new AirPods should work. In addition, forgeting the airpods and re-establishing a Bluetooth connection with them does not work. Please advise.

Hi 7empest_,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! Since the sound issue seems to be isolated to your iPod nano, try force restarting it. A restart can fix many issues:

  1. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button until the screen turns off.
  2. Wait a few seconds for your device to restart
  3. If needed, plug your iPod into power, then try again.

Find the guidance on force restarting iPod's in the article Learn how to force restart your iPod.

Hope that helps!
