if I add AppleCare for my MacBook Pro, will my total warranty years be 1year free + 3 years paid, which is 4 years in total ? or total would be 3 years only ?

The total for a one-time payment plan is three years. If you get or change over to the subscription, it'll continue until you cancel it or Apple stops being able to service that model.
