After setting up my family sharing and connecting my Apple TV to the file folder that holds my pictures, everything works for a few days and then stops. Instead of a screen saver, the screen just goes black. I’m wondering what changes happen that it stops sharing the photos? Is there something I can do to prevent this? What is the best process to have photos set up as a screen saver?

Family Sharing is something different, and unrelated to photo screen savers.

Screen saver content is considered cache data, that is copied to the Apple TV box. Cache data can be sacrificed if disk space is needed for primary tasks (streaming apps). Could it be that your Apple TV box is almost full? Could it be that you have rarely used apps that could be deleted or offloaded?
