Hi there,
I recently migrated to a new MacBook Pro from a relatively older MacBook Pro that was running a old OS due to not being able to upgrade the OS because of the age of the MacBook.
Because of that I seem to have a extra sort of Admin user on start up, which isn't showing in the System Settings so I am unable to delete it.
Anyone know I can get rid of this "user".

You can read similar here—
Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
So there was a folder there and I deleted it, but weirdly the "user" is still there at login when I restart but now when I got to /Users there is no folder there.
Thanks, that was it. The account was hidden. Following the instructions from that thread, I just had to unhide it so the user would show in the Users Groups in System Settings and then I was able to delete it
See if there's a folder with that name in /Users. If so, try deleting it.
So unfortunately that didn't work
Sorry to hear that. No doubt the name is still in a .plist or other configuration file. Personally I don't know which one. Perhaps someone else does.
