How to make a Genius Bar appointment

1. Go to Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

2. Go to "Get hardware help".

3. Select your hardware and continue selecting options requiring replacing parts until you see "Bring in for Repair"

4. Sign in with your Apple ID

- Don't miss the FAQ at the very bottom.

- Start a trade-in by clicking on a device in the section "Select your device to get a trade-in estimate" - Smartphone, Tablet, Computer, Watch, Other devices (recycle only)

- The newest models may not be listed as eligible for trade-in. Contact Apple if you want to double-check. If you cannot simply return the device to Apple within the refund period (not available in all countries), you may need to see if you can sell your device as used.

- Follow the instructions included in your trade-in kit. It explains how to prepare, pack, and ship your device.

Apple’s trade-in programme does not accept broken or severely damaged devices. Be aware that the cost of repairing an iPad with a damaged screen will significantly exceed its potential value for trade-in.

If you wish to consider repair, a visit to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) will provide opportunity for your iPad to be assessed - and you to explore your available options:
