Can the TrueDepth camera be repaired?
A drop to the ground probably caused a disconnect of the TrueDepth camera. Can it be repaired or replaced?
iPhone XS, iOS 16

thepilotsmith ~ Maybe the drop; maybe the battery. ...Does your iPhone XS still have its original battery?
And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Either the LED flood array or the camera itself have damaged solder contact or a connector has come loose.
Does anyone have experience with any of this, while doing repairs inside the phone? I’m looking for expert tech advice.

I ask because the TrueDepth camera is powered by the battery and if the battery is still the weak, aging original one or a nongenuine replacement, Face ID may not function. So again, does your iPhone XS still have its original battery?

The battery has nothing to do with the TrueDepth camera. Why do you ask?
The battery is fine.
Hello again ~ Take it in to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider and have it checked out as they are the experts.
