My new MacPro 2023 with the M2 chip will not communicate with the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 printer. I have removed and added the printer back and disconnected all the cables and power and nothing seems to work.
Ideas??

I re-downloaded an Epson print driver 12.6.2 from the Epson site and loaded it. The printer now works as it should.
Removing and adding the printer back in the system settings was not enough to set everything up.

I recently bought a new Mac Mini M2. I migrated my apps and files from an older iMac (Catalina). My Epson 2880 works just fine for me (with the exception of the ink status, which Epson dropped support for long ago). It says driver version 9.0 - seems to be an Epson driver.

My friend is giving me R2880 for $50 and he told me it is just need to be professionally cleaned which is costing $150 and off course I will need ink. My question is- Is it worth getting it in 2023? As I’m wanna print pictures, labels and stickers. Thank you!

You would need to wait till Epson or Apple release new printer driver for Apple Silicon Macs.
I deleted the printer and added it back..All works fine now. Thanks.
