I am unable to see Beats Solo in the list of discoverable devices. What should I do

I have been trying to pair my Beats Solo headphones to Mac. However, I am unable to see my headphones in the list of discoverable Bluetooth devices, even though the bluetooth for both the headphones have been turned on. What else can be done in this regard?

Hi prarthana224,

From the support page you posted from Set up and use your Solo3 Wireless headphones are the following directions:

"Pair with a Mac or another device that uses Bluetooth

If you have some other Bluetooth device, follow these steps to pair your headphones with that device:

  1. Press the power button for 5 seconds. When the Fuel Gauge flashes, your headphones are discoverable.
  2. Go to Bluetooth settings on your device. For example, on your Mac, choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  3. Select your headphones from the list of discovered Bluetooth devices." (emphasis added)

The instructions for pairing to an iPhone also offers the following for placing the Beats into pairing mode which may prove helpful:

"After a few seconds, your iPhone asks you to connect. If it doesn't, press the power button on your headphones for 5 seconds." (emphasis added)

Additionally that article states:

"Reset your headphones

If you have sound, Bluetooth, or charging issues with your headphones, you might want to reset them."

It's also important to note that if you are in range of another device the Beats have been paired with in the past, they may be automatically resuming that connection rather than entering pairing mode. Resetting the headphones or removing other devices may be necessary.

Regards.
