How do I download my entire iCloud Photos library easily?

Selecting all the photos to download from iCloud on the browser does not work. It stalls and freezes. I need an archive zip file of my entire photos library. This will never get done without it.

Photos Library Too Large My iCloud storage is totally full - too many photos. I want to keep only current year photos in iCloud and in my System Library. I want to move the originals of older ones to a new library, and then I can delete those from iCloud and free up space. So, I created a new library to export the older photos to, but when I try to export, the new library name is dimmed and it won't go. It won't let me me export to any other library. If I export to a folder instead, will the originals go? Or will they be lost if I do that and then delete them from iCloud? Any ideas?

Cannot see any of the described options to download photo library from iCloud I want to turn off iCloud but I do not want to lose the photos I have. I have read all the instructions for downloading photos from iCloud to my devices (iPhone and iPad). However, none of the download options described actually appears on my devices. There is absolutely no download option that I can find anywhere. I have gone into iCloud in settings many times and there is supposed to be a download option, apparently, but in fact there is not. I have tried logging into iCloud on my Mac to see if there is any way I can download from there, and there is not. I have tried going it with iCloud turned on and with it turned off. No matter what I try, I cannot ever see any option to download anything. My only choices are to leave iCloud on and be pestered endlessly or if I turn it off, it says everything will be deleted in 30 days. I just want to keep what I have. Is there somewhere I can find these download options?

Sync your photos to your computer.

Mac: Open photos. Go to Photos > Settings > iCloud and enable iCloud photos

Windows: Download iCloud for Windows. Download iCloud for Windows - Apple Support

Your entire library will then sync to your computer.

if you use a Mac, move the photos library to an external drive. Move your Photos library to save space on your Mac - Apple Support

on a PC you can offload as files download

Don't have 2tb of space on my machine.. iCloud is full..
