iPhone Reminders Search Function Not Working

I have an iPhone 13 and I'm running iOS 16.5.1. I've turned the phone off and on again several times. The search function doesn't work most of the time in the Reminders app. It does work VERY occasionally. It does work on my laptop at iCloud.com. Suggestions for getting it to work consistently on my phone? It used to be a great help in finding specific Tasks througout my list. Now it's just frustrating!
