I cannot get my me.com email to show up on my Iphone 14. I have followed all the instructions in Apple support on line. I changed my password and when I try to set it up, I get an error message that says: Couldn't open connection to server. I didn't have this problem until I inadvertently deleted my mail icon. I got everything back except my me.com email.

Hello GypsyF, I think the problem your going to have in recreating your me .com account is that Apple back in 2012 killed off the Apple MobleMe service and current users of the @me.com and @mac.com are using them as an alias to the @iCloud.com . I could be wrong but I don't believe you will be able to get back the @me.com address but your information will be under the @iCloud.com address. You could check with Apple Support at
https://support.apple.com/mail and see if they might be able to help you further.
