icloud not backing up photos downloaded on iphotos on my Mac from a Nikon D80

icloud was backing up my photos downloaded from my Nikon camera until recently but it has stopped doing so. It is only backing up photos from my iphone at the moment. Does anyone know how to fix this problem please so that the photos are automatically saved in icloud as well. Thanks.

Not all photos are uploading to iCloud I have recently rebuilt my iPhoto library so that all my photos from all previous devices are on one computer in one iPhoto library. This iPhoto library holds 45,000 photos and videos. I am using iCloud for the first time to back up this library (I used a different online storage system previously) but it has only uploaded 15,000 of the 45,000 photos in my library. I have tried everything - I have literally waited weeks to see if it just needs more time, I have tried restarting my computer, I have turned the iCloud back up on and off numerous times. And yes I have more than enough storage space in iCloud. Nothing seems to work. If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated?
