How to get AppleCare plus using redeemed apple gift card

I got $150 apple gift card and redeemed it to my apple account.

And I was told that I can use my apple account balance when I purchase the AppleCare plus.

However, It seems like there isn't any option that enables my balance on the website.

Do I have to visit Apple Store to do so?

Hi,

The type of gift card you have will determine what it can be used for. In most cases, you would redeem your gift card and add it to your Apple ID to pay for your AppleCare. If you do not wish to redeem the full balance of your gift card to your Apple ID then you should contact Apple Support for additional assistance."
