Installing Mac OS Tiger on PowerBook G4

I found my father's old PowerBook g4 and tried it out. But due to the fact that Mac Os Leopard is on it, it slows down terribly. I really want to put on it the previous version of Mac Os Tiger. Can this be done without installation discs? For example, through a USB flash drive?

How do I reinstall OS on old Powerbook G4 I have a Powerbook G4 that was given to me by my father in around 2012. I have had it and have not used it. It has had the operating system 'customized' by Mac technicians in Medford Oregon: Connecting Point. They have created a shadow admin user account that is being difficult. Since the machine is servicable and compact I want to see if there will be any interest from a Craigs List post. So I want to do a fresh OS install. I do have install discs for Panther 10.3. It now has 10.4.1. How would I get it back to 10.4 ? I believe it would be an asset for it to be able to have Classic (OS 9 and lower) compatibility. I recently did get a buyer for a G5 tower that I bought new in mid 2000's that did have 10.4x with Classic compatibility. To piggy back; the AC adapter for the G4 Powerbook gets close to being over heated. Has this been an issue with this machine? And, while I have an internet connection via ethernet cable to router, to cable modem, the machine is not setting the time from network time servers. It complains about clock not being set right on start up even when the time preference is to set to automatically set the time. Why would this be? Thank you for time and attention. JK

downgrading OS on 2013 MacBook Pro Background: I have an old 2013 MacBook Pro that had Catalina on it. I read that I could update the OS to Ventura by jumping through a ton of hoops. I did it -- but hate how slow it makes the system. I have Catalina saved on the HD but can't seem to get it copied to a thumb drive -- I'll keep trying. I have managed to get into the reinstall setup by using the Shift + Alt/Option + Command +R configuration. Once there the system wants to download and install Mountain Lion to the location of my choice. Here's the issue: No location is ever listed... Am I just being impatient? Is the system downloading the OS but there's no evidence of activity? Why is it opting for Mountain Lion when I have Catalina saved on my HD? I'm not a MAC person (I'm much more comfortable on a PC) but, I'm trying to learn. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know. I want to know if it is possible to use a usb flash drive as a Mac OS Tiger installer
