I’m the UK and would like to prevent my iMac that I left at home from being accessed in case it is stolen. It is not setup with Findmy. It is password protected. Can I log into my iCloud account from the UK and block this iMac from accessing my iCloud account, etc until I get back home?

FWIW, assuming you created a strong password, or even better a firmware password, it is unlikely anyone will be able to access your Mac, and consequently your iCloud account. Do you have any expectation your iMac would be stolen in the first place?
