Using a Macbook, once I've placed a title in the timeline, can I move or drag the text to a different location on screen?

I'm editing a move on my macbook & when I try to add titles, I can't move them on the screen from where they default to. For example, I can't drag 'Expand Lower Third' text to the top of the screen. Is there a way to add text that I can drag without having to import transparent PNG pics? Help!

With your project open, tap the clip, then tap the Titles button in the inspector at the bottom of the screen. You can edit the text, reposition the text, and more..." ref: Add text to your iMovie project - Apple Support
