How to make Finder to group by kind in default?

I just got my new MacBook Pro 16" (M2) today.

I want to setup my Finder in List View and group by kind in default. What I did is:

Click "Action" button and choose "Show View Option"

Then check both "Always open in list view" and "Browse in list view" and choose Group by "Kind" and Sort by "Name" at the top. Last, click "Use as Defaults" at the bottom.

However, this setup doesn't remain default as promised. Every time I open a folder, I still need to manually group by Kind to make it happens.

Is something I did wrong? Please help.
