Airpod pro has a crackle sound when I move my jaw

Are there any fixes or software updates that can fix the crackle sound I hear in one of my Airpods? It is a first gen Airpod pro and it is definitely not a mechanical issue. Sometimes I can hear a steady buzz if I hold the offending Airpod still in my ear. I have tried the suggested Apple fix of "forget this device" and re-added it to my iPhone as well as turning off the noise canceling. Even with noise canceling off it is still happening but just to a lesser extent.
