MacBook Air not charging my iPhone

My MacBook Air 2013 13” recognizes my iPhone SE 2nd Gen. But does not charge it. I have tried several new lightning cables.

iPhone SE, iOS 16

Is the MacBook Air charged up or plugged in and charging?

Optionally use a USB wall charger to charge the iPhone.
