family member cannot access shared icloud

I have iphone 14 pro with ios 16.5.1 and subscription to icloud+ 50GB (25GB are free). I share the icloud+ subscription with my wife. She has iphone 14 pro with ios 16.5.1 . Her icloud (5GB) is full. Her Settings show that she has shared subscription to my icloud+ but she can't use it.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Hello aharonfromsunnyvale,

When you join a family that has an iCloud+ membership, you get the option to continue using your own iCloud storage or switch to the family storage. She may need to switch from her personal iCloud+ plan to your family plan. Have her check to see if she can switch following these directions:

  1. Go to Settings > Family.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap iCloud+.
  4. Tap Use Family Storage.

The "Switch from your personal iCloud+ plan to your family plan" section of Share iCloud+ with your family explains in more detail.

Regards.
