Software Update message when already up to date?

Every day when I log on to my iMac, there is a pop up message telling me that a software update is due and that my battery must be 50% or more? I check and my software is already up to date ( auto update is on)? This is a recent occurrence. I am running MacOS Ventura13.4.1 (c) 22F770820d.

Any ideas anyone?

What do I do with a "required managed update"? I keep receiving a notification on the top right corner of my iMac. I checked to see if it is a "software update" but it seems It is not. Here is the notification in it's entirety: Required Managed Update An update is scheduled to automatically install tonight. This update requires at least 50% battery or connection to a power source. Your computer will restart to perform the update, no deferrals remaining. The update did not install the evening that it appeared, and has not automatically installed yet some days later. I thought it may be a scam, but have not been affected by it. I've also run Malwarebytes and no issues. I keep getting the notification periodically, usually when I sign in. Does anyone know what this update is, and whether and/or how to install it, or any information as to how to get rid of it? Any information is helpful Andrew

softwareupdated and SoftwareUpdateNotificationManager keep running and occupy >200% CPU Hi Apple Help desk and all, I'm using macOS Monterey 12.5 on Mac 16" 2019 (running Intel i9). softwareupdated and SoftwareUpdateNotificationManager keep running almost all the time. And they occupy together more than 200% CPU. Sometimes, moving mouse cursor is interrupted because of those two processes. Macbook drains battery very soon. I have to plug the AC charger almost all the time and the laptop is really hot, very uncomfortable to use. I wonder whether it is common for other users and how to stop this from happen? I did un-tick all options in Software Update setting (no check or automatic update any more) Thanks for every response and solution to solve this problem!

Unidentified software update message An occasional software update message appears with no identification. I am a little wary of installing this until I know what it is... does this seem legitimate? Appears on MacBook Air Ventura 13.4.1 Thanks

Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

Worst case scenario

Remove the Ventura 13.4.1(c) update as per image below.

From what I am reading - there is a Release Candidate ( RC ) Apple Ventura 13.5 pending release when Apple is ready to to release it.
