How can I remove deleted media from iMovie?

Can anyone help me remove media from iMovie that I have rejected, unrated, unused, and already deleted? The files were moved to trash, the trash was emptied.

I uninstalled iMovie itself along with associated files using the uninstaller feature in Clean My Mac X. Then I reinstalled iMovie again from the App Store.

Despite all this, the unused media remains in iMovie and remains playable. There is no available option to view the files in Finder. I am the administrator user on my computer. All the other media has gone following the uninstallation.

Not sure if I would call the following a solution, but I was able to reveal in Finder the the "iMovie Library" file and delete that and empty trash. This has now got rid of absolutely everything once I restarted the iMovie. I would have kept the media from older videos, but I'm sure I've not lost anything important.
