After that's done, using Migration Assistant will make the transfer painless. Here's how to use Migration Assistant: Transfer to a new Mac with Migration Assistant - Apple Support

Not really mentioned in the Migration Assistant article is the ability to use it with both Macs connected via a Thunderbolt cable. It's much faster than either WiFi or Time Machine backup. Just thought I'd mention it if it's something you'd be interested in.
