How can I unlock my deceased friend’s iPad mini?

A good friend passed away a few months ago. I am the Successor Trustee to her estate and in full control of her trust and personal belongings, etc. I found her iPad mini this morning while organizing some things at her house. How do I get past the Activation Lock on the device? I have no idea what her ID and password would have been.
