Cannot connect USB webcam to MacBook Pro

My home office set up runs off my 2022 MacBook Pro. I connect the MacBook Pro to a Samsung Monitor through a USB-C to HDMI cable. I recently purchased a monitor light with built in webcam to illuminate my monitor and have a direct facing camera for my many zoom and Microsoft teams conferences. Here is the item: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXG1N56J?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I plugged the Light Bar/webcam using a USB cable directly into the monitor. The monitor is supplying power to the Light Bar, but the computer is not recognizing the webcam. The instructions with the webcam are bare bones; they suggest plugging the Light Bar directly into the computer. As we all know, however, the MacBook Pro does not have a USB port.

Any ideas? I rather not return the Light Bar which works beautifully.
