I want to change my browser back to Safari. I click on System Settings. I select Desktop and Dock. I am supposed to see a pop up saying 'switch to Safari" or to some other browser. But there is no popup at all. What

If the User Profile accurate " MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.1 " ?
If it is accurate there have been many updates to Big Sur since version 11.1
The current version has now reached 11.7.8 plus there was a recent Safari Update too

did you scroll down the right panel until you found it? I have safari and Firefox browsers, and can choose either one.
