Home location is suddenly wrong

A few days ago, I started triggering automations which are only supposed to run when I leave, and my arrival automations began to only run some of the time. My home address is correct in my contact card, and when I check the Maps app I can see that a pin falls on the map in the correct spot for this address. When I create a new location based automation now, and tap on where location is set to home, I see the pin on the map about a block away, even though I can also see on the same screen that my live location is accurate to my set address. Strangely, if I go into where I can change the location used for the automation, the second suggested location after “home” is my home address, which is the address set as home in my contact card, yet selecting it moves the pin into the right spot. I’d just change the location of all my automations this way and be done with this, except I get a warning before finalizing the change that everyone else in my home will be removed from the automation if I change the location to anywhere other than home. It’s very frustrating because I’m trying to change the location to home from randomly a block away.

I’ve seen several unresolved posts on multiple forums, some dating back as long as three years ago, all from people who were having exactly this experience: departure automations started wrongfully triggering out of nowhere, home address is right, pin is in wrong spot when checking through the page to create a new automation.

Has anyone experienced and resolved this problem?

Same issue here. I've pulled up our home address on every one of our devices and adjusted the GPS position of the home to be dead-center on our house, but most of the time HomeKit doesn't properly register home/away status for one or more of my or my wife's devices -- so we get random triggering of home/away-based automations, like lights coming on in the middle of the night. It seems to me that HomeKit should use local network detection in addition to GPS coordinates to determine home/away status for a device, but AFAICT it doesn't work that way at this point.
