Share Button Action Changed?

Previously (OS Monterey) the Share button on a web page allowed me to click on it, choose Messages (or select a recent Message recipient), and the screen focus would change allow me to enter some text into the message.

With Ventura, this seems to have changed. When I share a web page the focus never changes. If I go to the Messages app, I can see the web page entered into a new message, but I now have to click on the Messages app in the Dock to see the message.

Is this a bug in Ventura, or can anyone think of a reason for the change?

Very strange. Perhaps I'm the only one seeing this? I was using Safari when I noticed this, but also noted the same behavior with the Chrome browser. (BTW...this is a brand new 15" MacBook Air with up to date OS).

I also noted that sometimes (but not all the time) I see the OS "sort of" changes focus in that the Messages app is now in the menu bar...but the Messages app is still hidden until I click on the icon.

Gonna try rebooting this MBA and see if anything changes. If so, I'll report back here.

I have Ventura and it switches focus for me to Messages when I share. So, the problem may be with something else on your computer. Are you using Safari? Or a different browser?

Well, SMH...!

Guess I need to start rebooting more often, as that cured things.

(Ashamed, as that should have been one of the first things I tried!).
