When I tap “get” on an app from the store, I get sent to “confirm with double tap on the button”. But the button does not appear! It hangs along the screen margin and “bounces” but never emerges. It is totally unresponsive and just keeps bouncing.

Try and restart the iPad to see if the problem Persists
You need to double-click the physical button on the side of your iPhone to confirm the purchase - not the screen.

Trust me, there is no physical button! And you are becoming a nuisance!
