Thank u all. Went to Apple Store, got it checked and they said error was a critical failure on iPad processor, due to a fall (which had not happened) or an electric discharge (which I cannot rule out but is kind of low probability in my zone).
Hefty amount to get it fixed, so I decided to recycle an otherwise well cared and preserved iPad, and hope to buy a new one when possible.
Amazing how Apple products (and most electronics actually) can be produced with no long-term use life on sight.
As it happens, Apple’s iPad and iPhone devices have industry leading hardware, update and technical support - over a much longer period of time than competitors in the same arena.
Apple generally provide system software updates for five to seven (if not more) years from release of a product. Hardware and repair support remain available for similar periods.
By contrast, many Android devices only receive support for one or two years; some don’t receive any updates at all - being obsolete shortly after release to market.
All that said, ultimately, all electronic devices reach a point where all manufacturers cease support for older products.
Thank you. Done all of that. I guess I'll have to go to a Genius Bar 'cause the same error keeps popping no matter what option (update or restore) I choose.
