Watch series 8 fall detection does not work at all

I have apple watch 8 and fall detection is always enabled. 2 days back, I fell and I got injury in my hand. I was wearing the watch in same hand and it could not detect anything.

I got hair line fracture in the same hand, I was wearing watch. Not only this, I hit my watch also hard on the ground

This is useless feature! Never rely on this. It is completely useless.
