This usually happens because the recipient is on an Android phone or Google phone based system.
Apple's MMS/SMS support on Mac OS is limited to other iOS and Mac OS devices.
Yes, that's true, but I used to be able to send before I changed my apple id.
You are correct! I found that i had 2 accounts somehow. I just discovered that and with the help of Apple chat was walked through it and now it is working!
