Empty trash hanging

When Empty trash - never ending clearing cache dialog displayed infinitely

I have to press Close button in hanging trash dialog my self

not sure how to fix it Mac Ventura 13.4.1 this started after the MAC updated

Try SafeBoot to all the system to run diagnostics, remove caches and fix issues it finds then log back in your normal account and test again.

It wasn't clear from the earlier post that merely booting into safe mode is the way to fix this. It worked. Thanks!

Same problem - same reply: startup in Safe Mode and then reboot normally.

I have had this issue since getting my M2 Mac Mini. It has persisted through 2 Ventura updates. The emptying trash dialog displays indefinitely. When I cancel the empty trash via the dialog, the trash is emptied. I have run Disk Utility First Aid and no problems are found.
