Question

command key not working on MacBook pro kbd and external kbd, Ventura 13.4.1

I can not say for sure that this started with Ventura 13.4.1 but I did not notice it prior to upgrading (though

I don't use the command key that much so hard to say). The command key is not being recognized either on my

external (older apple wired keyboard USBA->USBC->MacBook Pro) or the macBookPro's kbd. When I go to keyboard settings, input sources it just shows a simple keyboard with none of the extra (arrow keys numberic pad etc) keys that exist on either connected kbd.

It also still seems like a warning sign (but I don't know for sure) that in the system setting -> keyboard -> input sources -> edit

the keyboard shown is just a basic keyboard and does not match either of the ones actually connected (the internal macBookPro or the external usb). I see no way to add a keyboard just other languages.
