I need to install Big Sur on my 16in 2021 MacBookPro
The web site says my machine is compatible but refuses to download it
Ho do I proceed?

You can't install Big Sur on a 2021 MBP. It's too new.
Just to add, if you look at the compatibility list, 2020 MBPs are the latest that are compatible.

You're welcome. Where did you see a 2021 MacBook Pro was compatible? They came originally shipped with Monterey 12.0.
