Identify your Apple TV remote - Apple Support
There are no indicators on the remote that show that it is charging. You can see the battery charge level increasing by looking in Settings for Apple TV on your TV screen.
Verify that you charge as intended:
- to a USB port on a computer,
- or to a power adapter in an AC socket.
Other USB ports may not be suitable for charging the remote.
