emails sent from Mail on MBP no longer being received

Just recently, I’ve discovered that mail I send from my 2021 MBP (using Mail) is not being received.

The account works fine when using my iPad - emails sent to myself appear in the inbox almost immediately.

In fact, I receive them on my MBP as well when I send them as tests from the iPad.

Emails sent from my 2015 MBP, also arrive straightaway on the iPad, but - again - not on the newer MBP.

So what’s suddenly gone wrong with Mail on the 2 MBPs?

I’ve checked Apple’s ‘Connection Doctor’, and all appears OK.

And the account is shown as live and online in Settings/Accounts.

Any ideas what might be happening here?  All was fine until a couple of days ago.

Sorry but on 3 different M1 / M2 computers all running Ventura 13.4.1 ( Latest Version as of June 21 ) I can send or forward and e-mail from Mail Application to my wife in the next room and it arrives almost immediately

There have been times when I have used the Send Later Feature in Ventura and scheduled it to send Next Day but never has the e-mail never ever not arrived to her MS Windows Computer

Good Testing 👍 by sending to yourself and the e-mail that Do Arrive

How have you determined the Recipient has not received your e-mails from the Newer Computer ?

Have you perhaps added a " Please acknowledge Receipt of this e-mail " to the message ?

Has the sender instructed the Recipient to check in their Blocked List or Junk mail folders

How have I discovered they’re not arriving?

It started with forwarding emails to someone who is expecting to receive them, doesn’t get them and so lets me know. In this instance, that person is my wife, elsewhere in the house, who simply calls out (very patiently, some time later) “it’s still not arrived - have you sent it yet?”

That happened repeatedly in the past couple of days, and so led to the testing.

I suspect that a missing reply from a company that’s usually pretty good at replying promptly, may well be because of the same reason.

(yes, I have checked the spam - but the recipients never end up there.)

possibly? but i just switched to another server that was there in the list available.

Now there's another complication. Both MBPs are working fine, sending + receiving with the (gmail) account. But the iPad, while receiving the test email I've sent myself, deletes it as soon as I've opened it.

My wife is receiving the test emails on both her MBP and iPad with no side effects (i.e. no auto deleting after opening) so whatever's wrong now appears to be limited to my iPad (which was previously fine).

Any ideas on how to get everything back in tune again?

Update >

"But the iPad, while receiving the test email I've sent myself, deletes it as soon as I've opened it."

Just realised that this happens only when I send the email from the MBP - if i email myself from the iPad, the iPad retains the email after it's opened.

Also - just discovered that the test emails I've sent myself from the MBP don't arrive on my iPhone.

Too many different devices all using a Different Configuration to the Same E-mail server

Remove The Problematic Account from ALL Devices

Stsrt toads back the account to the Laptop and make extra special notation of the Exact Configuration

Test if the Original Question is resolved

If not change the configuration. on the Laptop and Test again

Continue until the Original Issue is resolved

The commence wit each Other device and add the account using the Known Working Configuration

Still not working - communicate with G-Mail for addition assistance

that's thoughtful of you - thank you.

At the moment, emails are working fine again on all the devices, (3 MBPs, 3 iPads + 2 iPhones) except for an oddity with the newer iPad which receives and stores emails when they have text, but appears to immediately delete a test email that has no content.

I wondered if that might be a little known feature (!) but further testing (from another account) reveals that it's not.
