Apple Address book on my mac is very slow, gives spinning cursor frequently.

Apple Address book has been very slow for a very long time on my Mac: slow to search, very slow to edit, often accompanied by a spinning cursor for a minute or so...

Mac is: MacBook Air, 2019, intel Core i5

it's running Ventura 13.4, but I've had this issue for the last couple of operating systems, it just is getting worse.

Ideas?

'cursoruiviewservice' Not Responding and Causing Lag on MacBook Air and causing MacBook to kernel panic and shutdown Hi everyone, I've noticed that the "cursoruiviewservice" process in Activity Monitor is becoming 'not responding' and causing significant lag on my MacBook Air, especially when typing and switching between upper and lower case letters. I have tried restarting the MacBook and it disappears but comes back after a while. I read in another thread that this is related to Microsoft office installed on the MacBook. Solution: So I opened login items in Mac Settings and turned-off allow in background for Microsoft AutoUpdate and Microsoft office licensing. Tada i have been using the Macbook for 3-4 days and cursoruiviewservice has not gone into not responding once. The process takes considerably way less memory than it used to when it went into the not responding case previously. Previously cursoruiviewservice used to be on the top 3 places in the activity monitor window taking up much memory(around 200mb). Now it takes up around 11mb. Wanted to share this solution so it could benefit all. Also Microsoft could work on that bug.

Cursor nonsense on MacBook Air M2 2022 The cursor often does not turn into the "finger" when hovering hyperlinks. Also, the cursor often does not work to open messages from Messages or mail in MacMail. So frustrating. The only thing that seems to work is performing a hard reboot and starting over.

I have this same issue. Is there anyone that can think of a solution? Apple Contacts is essentially unusable right now and has been for some time...
