WhatsApp Notifications and Badges not working

The only way I know that I have received a new message is if I open the app. I have checked all of the relevant settings (with the help of Apple Support). When that didn't work, I deleted and reinstalled the app. I restarted my iPhone. I Reset Notification Settings. Nothing has worked.

At this point, I am fairly confident it is not an issue with any settings. It appears to be either a problem with the latest iOS or else a software bug in the latest WhatsApp update.

That said, if anyone has suggestions beyond what I already tried, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have Scheduled Summary off. I receive notifications for my other apps, just not WhatsApp. Also, the red notification dot no longer appears on this app. The only way I know a new message has come in is if I open the app itself.

This a very recent change (a few days or a week)I. I suspect it's probably related to a recent iOS update or WhatsApp software update. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Have you enabled Scheduled Summary?

Settings > Notifications > [Select the App that you are having trouble receiving immediate notifications]

See the pic below for a few examples. Please select immediate delivery.

Go to Settings and tap Notifications. Select an app under Notification Style. Under Alerts, choose the alert style that you want. If you turn on Allow Notifications, choose when you want the notifications delivered — immediately or in the scheduled notification summary.
